Starting with strategic assessment
Our first mission in every project is to gain an understanding of the client’s strategic vision, for both the project at hand and the company as a whole. The time needed to conduct this exercise varies. A first project for a new client, for example, will naturally involve more strategic review than a project for an established client.
In some cases this all-important first step is simply a matter of delving into and arriving at an understanding of the client’s clearly held strategic vision. More typically, our inquiry re-examines existing assumptions and contributes to clarifying and fine tuning a client’s own strategic thinking.
However attained, strategic clarity is the essential foundation of a successful project.
Business development consulting
The Strategic Word also provides in-depth consulting services to help clients meet unforeseen challenges and capitalize on new opportunities. A client might engage these services, for example, when seeking strategic partnerships or equity financing for expansion. Our advice and counsel in these areas is often provided in tandem with creating business plans, proposals, presentations and/or other investment documents.
We also have a keen interest in helping international cleantech and renewable energy companies establish themselves in the United States, where our knowledge of the USA marketplace can be especially valuable.
